Courses
We offer three main courses that are geared towards your personal experience level and goals: 101 Off-Road Training, Navigational Training, Advance Off-Road Training
101 Off-Road Training
In this 6 – 8 hours introduction to off-road training class, we will guide you in becoming a confident driver out on the trails to help protect your valuable off-road rig. This will be accomplished through a solid knowledge base gained through a mix of class-time and hands-on training time.
You will spend time learning about:
- Recovery equipment
- Tools
- Vehicle basics
- Proper in-cab body placement
- How to use your vehicle's off-road features
- Proper vehicle spotting
- Climbing and descending hills
- How to traverse the following: wash outs, water crossings and obstacles
This class is limited to the first six registered vehicles to ensure one-on-one time with instructors to guarantee you leave the day equipped to start your very own off-road adventure.
** Classes at off-road parks may require an entry fee into the park as well as a safety flag. More details on this will be provided via email after you have registered for your class.
Navigational Training
In this training class, our goal is to have you leave ready to explore trail systems knowing what areas are legal and safe for your vehicle to be in, and confident in your mapping skills.
You will spend time learning how to:
- Read a map
- Use basic map tools
- Use a compass
- Navigate popular mapping apps
- Share your location with safety personnel in an emergency situation
Class time will consist of seated classroom time as well as boots on the ground practical application.

Advanced Off-Road Training
This course is intended for those who have some off-road experience that are looking to become leaders out on the trails.
You will spend time learning about:
- Proper winching technique
- Trail spotting
- On-trail vehicle and tire repair
- Radio communication
- Emergency response
- Climbing and descending hills
- How to traverse the following: wash outs, water crossings and obstacles
- And more
This class is limited to the first six registered vehicles to ensure one-on-one time with instructors letting you leave the day feeling equipped to lead while out on your own off-road adventures.
